Sorry, but we are not offering an English version of XProfan 10 yet.
However, with just a little work, it is possible to create an older english PROFAN-Version, using an older German version and some German-to-English patches.
My former partner Mike Knueppel from Seattle and me made an English version of PROFAN 3.3 some years ago and spent a lot of money for translating the whole programs, helpfiles, manuals and textfiles. An American shareware-magazine tested PROFAN 3.3 and rated it as good as "Liberty Basic" (the most widely-used shareware compiler in the U.S. then). Unfortunately, Profan didn't "catch on" in the U.S., only 20 copies of the English version were sold.
You will find the full (!) American version of PROFAN 3.3 in the download area below. It is now Freeware. The help file is in English, and gives a good understanding for the broad capabilities of PROFAN, which has been greatly enhanced in later versions. Feel free to download the file and pass it on to everybody!
1. You need the full German version of PROFAN 7.5 installed. To get your copy of it please order the full version of PROFAN 7.5 at RGH-SOFT (Roland G. Hülsmann, Software für Heim und Büro, Hinter der Mühle 6, 69226 Nußloch - the German author of PROFAN).
2. Please find PROFAN75.EXE in the CD directory PROFAN\SETUP75 an run it. This will install PROFAN 7.5 on your PC.
3. Now you're ready to apply the patch for the International Version of PROFAN 7.5. It translates the German files PROFAN.EXE, PROFCOMP.EXE and PRFRUN32.EXE into English versions. You'll find it in the download area below. Unzip PROF75US.ZIP to PROF75US.EXE. To apply the patch please copy PPOF75US.EXE into your PROFAN directory an execute it. It's surely a good idea, to backup the files to be patched first. After applying the patch all dialogbox texts and all errormessages will appear in English.
4. Download the English reference for PROFAN 6 and also the textfile "New in 6.6" which describes the changes between versions 6.0 and 6.6. Sorry, there are no newer documentations in english yet.
